The BSC Stubai is an Austrian sports club that specializes in bobsleigh and skeleton .

The BSC Stubai was founded on April 8, 1975 in Schönberg . The initiator was Helmut Saischek , who, as the fourth pilot in the hierarchy , did not see himself sufficiently supported by the most important bobsleigh club in Austria at the time, the BC Igls . Reinhold Saischek, Heinz Krenn, Jochen Reiter , Ernst Schützenauer, Kurt Entholzer, Franz Paulweber and Gerri Schmid were among the other founding members . Bobsleigh and skeleton sports should also be offered equally in the club. So far, he has been particularly successful in the skeleton area, where he became the most successful club in Austria. The current coaching staff includes the multiple Italian skeleton champion Renato Bussola .

Since its inception, the association has produced several Olympic athletes as well as participants in world and European championships. The national team athletes Markus Penz and Janine Flock as well as Carina Mair currently belong to the club. Former athletes include Martin Brugger . The greatest success in the club's history was Martin Rettl's win of the Olympic silver medal at the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City . At the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck , Carina Mair won silver medals in the skeleton and Benjamin Maier and Robert Ofensberger in the two-man bobsleigh.
