Baby, I Love Your Way is a 1975 song by Peter Frampton , written and produced by him. It first appeared on the album Frampton in 1975 and was re-recorded by him in 2016 for the CD Acoustic Classics .

The release of the soft rock song was on September 1, 1975 when the first release along with the album Frampton a flop. That changed with the release of the live version from the album Frampton Comes Alive! on June 25, 1976. The live version became a top ten hit, especially in Canada (3rd place) and Brazil (8th place).

In 1987, Will to Power recorded their version as a baby, I Love Your Way / Freebird Medley (Free Baby) . The medley consists of the songs Baby, I Love Your Way and Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd from 1975. In contrast to the rocking originals, this medley is synthesizer- heavy, musically corresponds to the zeitgeist of the 1980s and is therefore the genre of synth- Assign Pop . From the song Free Bird , the line the bird you cannot change (German: the bird that you cannot change ) was changed to this bird will never change (German: this bird will never change ) for this medley .

The release was on August 29, 1988, and it became a number one hit in the United States and Canada. In VH1s list 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 80s this medley reached number 97. Another hit landed Will to Power with their cover version of 10cc -Klassikers I'm Not in Love from the year 1975th

In 1994, Big Mountain released their version of the song, which can be heard on the soundtrack of the film Reality Bites . This version of reggae was released on February 1, 1994, and it was a top ten hit worldwide; a number one hit in Denmark, Sweden and Spain. At the same time a Spanish-language version of the band was released with the title Baby, te quero a ti .

The English language cover version is used in the film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle .
