The Back Burn is a watercourse in Dumfries and Galloway , Scotland . It arises as Ashy Sike and then becomes the Carewoodrighope Burn south of Little Tudhope Hill and flows south to the west of Tudhope Hill and east of Carlin Tooth . After the inflow of the Rose Sike , the watercourse turns west and changes its name to Back Burn and flows into the Carewoodrig Burn .
