Bad Acid Trip is an American thrash metal / grindcore band from North Hollywood , California .

Band history

Bad Acid Trip was founded in North Hollywood in 1990 and originally comes from the powerviolence and grindcore scene, but slowly moved away from its beginnings there and took more and more influences from Thrash Metal . After many demos , EPs and splits , the band came into contact with System of a Down . SOAD singer Serj Tankian signed the band for his Serjical Strike label and has so far released the albums For the Weird by the Weird (1999), Lynch the Weirdo (2004) and Humanly Possible (2011). SOAD guitarist Daron Malakian produced the albums Lynch the Weirdo and Humanly Possible . In 2005 the band could be heard on the album Enter the Chicken by Buckethead & Friends . In 2006 the band took part in the Ozzfest .
