Badar Munir (* around 1940 in Madyan , Swat ; † October 11, 2008 in Lahore , Punjab ) was a Pakistani actor of the Pashto film. He has appeared in more than 400 film productions, including Urdu and Punjabi films.

Career

He comes from a place in what was then the princely state of Swat (now in northern Pakistan) and worked as a rickshaw driver in Karachi . He found a job with Waheed Murad , a hero of the Urdu film, and his talent for acting was discovered by him. The short Munir made his film debut in 1970 in Yosuf Khan Sher Bano . He played his first hero role in Dulhan Air Rat Ki (1975). By 2005 he appeared in 416 films, of which Orbal , Naavay Da Yao Ssphay , Deedan , Topak Zama Qanon , Zma Qasam , Da Inteqaam Lumbay , and Adam Khan Durkhanai are the most famous.

Badar Munir died at the age of 68 after suffering from a stroke for four years. He leaves behind two women and eight children.
