Badisches Pressehaus

The Badisches Press GmbH & Co. KG in Freiburg is the holding company of a group of regional media companies and their related service providers. Until the end of 2019, half of the group belonged to the publisher families Hodeige and Rombach ( Rombach Group ) on the one hand and the Poppen and Ortmann families ( Poppen & Ortmann ) on the other. At the end of 2019, Poppen & Ortmann KG took over the shares in Heinrich Rombach KG and thus became the sole shareholder.

The group companies appear under the umbrella brand "BZ.medien ".

  • Badischer Verlag GmbH & Co. KG : main product Badische Zeitung (largest subscription daily newspaper in southern Baden); The Badisches Pressehaus holds 83.3% of the Badischer Verlag, the remaining 16.7% shares are held in trust for the shareholders by the editors, but are not entitled to profit.
