Bahārlu

The Bahārlu or Baharloo ( Persian بهارلو Baharlu ) are a Turkish-speaking ethnic group . In 1932 , this ethnic group made up8,000 familiesin the official census in Iran ( Fars Province ). Today, in addition to the Fars Province, they also settle in Āzarbāydschān , Kerman and the old Khorasan Province .

According to J. Malcolm, the Bahārlu were a tribe of the Shamlu who were resettled from Syria to Persia under Timur . Albert Houtum-Schindler also noted that the Bahārlu in Fars are generally known as Arabs and that this could be related to their origin from Syria.

The Bahārlu belonged to the nomadic tribal federation of the Qara Qoyunlu in the 15th century and formed their leading tribe there. Later they were from the Kashgai dominated and joined 1861 / 62 of nomads Federation of Khamseh on. There they were identified with the Nafar for a long time , as the two tribes had common heads for a long time.
