The Beienheim station is a separation station in the Beienheim district of the Hessian city of Reichelsheim (Wetterau) . It is located on the outskirts of urban development in the south of Beienheim.
history
Reception building
The station building was built around 1900 on the Beienheim – Schotten and Friedberg – Mücke railway lines that went into operation in 1897 . There is a service room and a waiting room in the building. Beienheim has - just like Nidda - a cable signal box .
Tracks and platforms
The Beienheimer Bahnhof has three platform tracks. From the house platform on track 1, the trains run on the remaining Friedberg – Wölfersheim-Södel section of the Friedberg – Mücke railway that once went to Mücke in Vogelsberg . The trains of the Beienheim – Schotten railway line run to Nidda or Friedberg from tracks 2 and 3, which are not paved.
traffic
The Beienheim station has been a railway junction in the Wetterau since it opened in 1897 . In the past you could drive from Beienheim via Wölfersheim , Hungen and Laubach to Mücke, where there was a connection to the Vogelsbergbahn , which was still in service. In 1958 you could still drive to Freienseen, in 1959 to Hungen and since 2003 only to Wölfersheim-Södel.
It was also previously possible to take the train from Beienheim to Schotten . On November 29, 1959, passenger traffic was stopped on the Nidda – Schotten section. Since then there has only been rail traffic to Nidda.
