Bilbao Abando Indalecio Prieto train station

The Abando Indalecio Prieto multi-purpose station is the main train station in the Basque city of Bilbao . This is located in the Abando district at the Plaza Circular . It is a terminal station with an integrated shopping center and a parking garage, the platforms of which are on the upper floor of the building. The station is connected to several city bus lines as well as to both lines of the Bilbao Metro and the Bilbao tram . The station serves as the terminus for all local and long-distance lines operated by the state railway RENFE with the destination Bilbao, as the city is only connected to the rest of the broad-gauge railway network via a branch line, which is only 80 km away with the Miranda de Ebro remaining railway network is linked. All suburban routes end in the surrounding area. However, once the Basque high-speed triangle is completed, trains from other Spanish cities to San Sebastián or France will also stop in Bilbao .

Immediately next to the station building is the Bilbao-Concordia station , where all lines of the narrow-gauge railway company FEVE , which run from Bilbao to Santander and León or serve sections of these routes, end. The train station of the Basque railway company EuskoTren can be reached by tram, which is about 500 meters away and , in addition to other suburban lines, also offers a train connection to San Sebastian .
