Cercanías
Cercanías are the names of the suburban railways operated by the national railway company RENFE in Spain . The Catalan name Rodalies is used in the autonomous regions of Catalonia and Valencia .
The Cercanías systems use the infrastructure of RENFE, which is usually based on Spanish broad gauge . They are characterized by high travel speeds, greater distances between stations and modern vehicle material. Longer tunnel sections are used in Madrid and Barcelona.
In the web spiders of the local transport networks , the Cercanías can be recognized with line numbers C-1, C-2 etc., or in Barcelona with R1 to R7.

Planned networks
In Galicia , with the completion of the high-speed lines in the greater A Coruña and Vigo areas, two more networks will go into operation. In some cases, existing tracks are used, on which capacities will be freed up by shifting long-distance traffic to the high-speed line.
