The ÖBB - Station Faak am See in the same district in the market town Finkenstein Lake is a place of business with , regional train traffic both also long distance served.
construction
The station consists of two side platforms , although only the one facing the Seeufer-Landesstraße (L 53) is used. A ticket machine and a small park and ride area are available. The pedestrian and bicycle path - underpass is part of the cycle track Moor round .
Reception building
The two-storey building with a rectangular floor plan has a central transverse gable and a stone facade with simple window frames. The narrow side has a wooden balcony with a pent roof and a hipped roof. Today the building has modern windows, otherwise the situation from the construction period is preserved. The reception building built in 1906 is a listed building ( list entry ).
There was also a remarkable wooden goods storage room at the station, but this was removed when the station was last modernized after 2000. At that time, the loading track that was previously available for loading wood and other goods and from which tourist trains to the Rosentalbahn also departed was also removed.
