Heathrow Terminal 4 Railway Station
The Heathrow Terminal 4 Railway Station is an underground airport station in London district London Borough of Hillingdon . It is located under Terminal 4 of Heathrow Airport and belongs to tariff zone 6. There is a pedestrian connection to the nearby London Underground station of the same name .
The station opened on June 23, 1998, and has been served by the Heathrow Express airport shuttle ever since . For the first few years, trains ran directly to Paddington Station in central London, but from 2008 traffic to the newly opened Terminal 5 began to have priority. For this reason, since June 8, 2010, a shuttle train has been running from the terminal to Heathrow Central station , where you can seamlessly transfer to the actual Heathrow Express. The station is only served by Heathrow Connect on Sundays .
In May 2018, Heathrow Express will transfer the shuttle connection to Heathrow Central to the railway company TfL Rail , and Heathrow Connect will also be replaced. This agreement is part of Crossrail's phased rollout , which will be completed in December 2019 when the Elizabeth Line is fully operational.
