history
Wąwolnica station / Drzewce station
The first station was built by 1877 when the Russian Vistula Railway from Kovel to Mława was built. It was named after the village of Wąwolnica , eight kilometers away . The spa guests, on the other hand, were processed in the " Nałęczów Station " (now Sadurki ), nine kilometers to the east . The years up to 1914 were considered “the golden era” in the history of the spa. Well-known guests included the Nobel Prize winner Henryk Sienkiewicz and the writer Bolesław Prus .
After the construction of the narrow-gauge railway , Wąwolnica received a station on the line in 1915, while the station on the main line was named for the nearest town Drzewce .
Nałęczów Railway Station
In the 1920s, after the establishment of the Second Polish Republic, station buildings such as the Lubliner in the eclectic style were extended or rebuilt. Nałęczów near Drzewce received a newly built, representative reception building with 13 window axes. The resort's train station was moved from Sadurki to its current location in 1926. The Drzewece-Kolonia settlement was formed around the station.
The station building was renovated in 2009. It is not a listed building (as of March 2016).
