Dorohusk ( Ukrainian Дорогуск Dorohusk ; Russian Дорогуск Dorogusk ) is a village in the eastern Polish Lublin Voivodeship in the Chełmski powiat with about 500 inhabitants. It is the seat of the rural community of the same name .

geography

The village is located 24 km east of Chełm not far from the bank of the Western Bug on the external border of the European Union with Ukraine . Droga ekspresowa S12 / E 373 runs through the village .

At the road border crossing and the Dorohusk border station , traffic to the Ukrainian border crossing Jahodyn ( Ягодин ) is handled.

The first written mention of the village comes from 1246.
