Qingdao – Yancheng Railway

The railway Qingdao Yancheng is a high-speed line parallel to the Chinese east coast between the port city of Tsingtao ( province of Shandong ) and Yancheng (province of Jiangsu ) in the People's Republic of China .

The route opened on December 26, 2018.

Technical parameters

The electrified , double-track line is 430 km long and runs through Lianyungang . It has a total of 16 train stations . For a newly built Chinese high-speed line, it is relatively inexpensive to build: It is only designed for a top speed of 200 km / h , the distance between the track axes is only 4.40 m and the minimum curve radius is 2800 m. According to its course in the flat coastal area, the maximum gradient is only 6 ‰. The cost of construction was 50 billion renminbi (6.5 billion euros ).

For the time being, only a few pairs of trains run on the route daily. The travel time between the two terminal stations is just over three hours.
