Bahraich is a city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh .
Bahraich is located in the north Indian plain 25 km east of the Ghaghara river . Bahraich is located 105 km north-northeast of Lucknow . Bahraich is the administrative seat of the district of the same name .
The national highway NH 28C connects Bahraich with Lucknow and via Nanpara with Nepalganj in Nepal .
As a city, Bahraich has the status of Nagar Palika Parishad . The city is divided into 31 wards . At the 2011 census, Bahraich had 186,223 inhabitants.
