Bakir Farrachowitsch Farchutdinow ( Russian Бакир Фаррахович Фархутдинов ; * May 15, 1925 , † 2008 ) was a Soviet weightlifter .

Career

Bakir Farchutdinow came from the Caucasus region, was a professional soldier and a member of Dynamo Moscow . He had started weightlifting in the army because he was small and light and therefore was looking for a sport with weight classes. During his entire career he started in the lightest weight class, the bantam weight up to 56 kg body weight. At Dynamo Moscow he had very good training conditions and was able to use this to win the World and European Championships in Vienna in 1954 . But he did not get to work at the Olympic Games . Ivan Udodow and Vladimir Stogow blocked his way to it.

International success

  • 1951, 1st place , World Youth Festival in Berlin , Ba, with 282.5 kg, ahead of Karel Saitl, Czechoslovakia , 257.6 kg;
  • 1953, 1st place , World Youth Festival in Bucharest , Ba, with 305 kg, ahead of Saitl, 272.5 kg and Nikolov, Bulgaria , 255 kg;
  • 1954, 1st place , WM + EM in Vienna , Ba, with 315 kg, in front of Mahmoud Namdjou , Iran , 307.5 kg and Ali Mirzahi, Iran, 302.5 kg, EM valuation: 1st place , in front of Josef Schuster , Germany , 272.5 kg.

USSR championships

  • 1952, 2nd place, Ba, with 297.5 kg;
  • 1953, 1st place, Ba, with 307.5 kg, ahead of Churomski, 300 kg and Roman, 297.5 kg;
  • 1954, 3rd place, Ba, with 310 kg, behind Stogow, 317.5 kg and Vilkhovsky, 315 kg;
  • 1955, 3rd place, Ba, with 315 kg;
  • 1959, 2nd place, Ba, with 322.5 kg, behind Stogow, 327.5 kg and in front of Uljanow, 320 kg.
