The Balcher is a mountain in the Franconian Alb south of Entenberg and north of Weißenbrunn in the district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria . The Haidelbach rises on the northern slope of the mountain, in the Langes Ried forest south of Entenberg .
history
On the southwest slope of the Balcher, about half a kilometer north of Weißenbrunn, there was a village called Balgern in the Middle Ages , which in 1360 still consisted of six estates. In 1509 it was reported that the place had become deserted.
