The Banded Peak (English for Banded Summit ) is a 1400 m high mountain with a small peak in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Duncan Mountains, it rises 3 miles northeast of Mount Fairweather .
The southern group of the 1963 to 1964 expedition as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expeditions named it after its clearly recognizable geological banding on the southern flank of the summit.
