history
The bank was founded in 1923 under the name Banque Privée . In the mid-1960s it was bought by Edmond Adolphe de Rothschild and incorporated into the Groupe LCF Rothschild , which he founded in 1953 . After Edmond de Rothschild's death in 1997, his son Benjamin de Rothschild took over management of both Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild and Groupe LCF Rothschild .
Business activity
At the end of 2008, the bank employed 513 full-time equivalents and had total assets of 4.106 billion Swiss francs. The total managed client assets of the internationally oriented Rothschild Group, which also includes numerous other banks under the umbrella of Groupe LCF Rothschild, amounted to CHF 82.3 billion at the end of 2008. How much of this is accounted for by Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild SA itself is not known.
