The Baptists Together (officially the Baptist Union of Great Britain ) is an association of Baptist churches in England and Wales.
history
The founding of the oldest and largest Baptist association to date, The Baptist Union of Great Britain , was not completed until 1813. Initially only Particular Baptists belonged to this union, from 1833 General Baptists were also allowed to join the congregation. From 1891 both groups united in the Baptist Union , so that the old split is considered to have largely been overcome.
Core beliefs
The foundation of the Baptist Union of Great Britain consists mainly of three core beliefs:
- Faith in Jesus Christ alone saves.
- Only the baptism of believers is to be regarded as a biblically founded baptism .
- The main goal of a union of autonomous congregations is based on the mission of Jesus to introduce the world to the gospel.
organization

For Council 13 British regional organizations deploy according to their membership MPs who u. a. elect the presidium of the Baptist Union and decide on all important questions of the congregation federation. The council also includes voting representatives of the six theological seminaries and other works that are in organizational connection with the Union.
