Barbara Anderson (author)
Barbara Anderson (born April 14, 1926 in Hastings , New Zealand , † March 24, 2013 in Auckland ) was a New Zealand writer .
Life
Barbara Anderson studied at the University of Otago after attending school and graduated in 1947 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.). She then worked as a medical technician and later as a teacher . After completing her professional career, she completed another degree at Victoria University of Wellington , which she graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts .
She did not begin her writing until the age of almost sixty and achieved fame beyond New Zealand. Her main publications, coined and similar to Anita Brookner , Raymond Carver , Margaret Drabble and Bernice Rubens , include:

Barbara Anderson was married to Vice Admiral Sir Neil Anderson , the commander of the New Zealand Defense Force who died in 2010 from 1980 to 1983.
