Titular bishopric of Sophene
Sophene ( Italian : Sofene ) is a former titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a lost bishopric in the ancient city of the same name , which was in the Roman province of Mesopotamia . The bishopric was assigned to the ecclesiastical province of Amida .
