The Diocese of Temuco ( lat. : Dioecesis Temucensis , span. : Diócesis de Temuco ) is in Chile located diocese of the Roman Catholic Church based in Temuco .

history

The Diocese of Temuco was established in 1908 by Pope Pius X from cession of territory from the Diocese of Concepción as a Mission sui juris Temuco . On October 18, 1925, the Mission sui juris Temuco by Pope Pius XI. with the Apostolic Constitution Apostolici Muneris Ratio raised to the diocese and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Concepción as a suffragan . The Diocese of Temuco gave up on June 20, 1959 parts of its territory to establish the Diocese of Los Ángeles .
