Manuel Camilo Vial Risopatrón
Manuel Camilo Vial Risopatrón ISch (born May 20, 1935 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Temuco .
Life
The Bishop of Talca , Manuel Larraín Errázuriz , ordained him a priest on July 16, 1961, and in 1965 he joined the Secular Institute of the Schoenstatt Fathers.
Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Pauzera and auxiliary bishop in Santiago de Chile on March 21, 1980 . He received his episcopal ordination on May 18 of the same year by the Archbishop of Santiago de Chile , Raúl Cardinal Silva Henríquez SDB ; Co- consecrators were Bernardino Piñera Carvallo , Bishop of Temuco, and Francisco José Cox Huneeus , Bishop of Chillán . As a motto he chose Buen Pastor, padre de los pobres .
On December 20, 1983, John Paul II appointed him Bishop of San Felipe and on September 21, 2001, Bishop of Temuco. On May 14, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his resignation due to reasons of age.
