The Diocese of San Felipe ( lat. : Dioecesis Sancti Philippi , Span. : Diócesis de San Felipe ) is in Chile located diocese of the Roman Catholic Church , headquartered in San Felipe .
history
The diocese of San Felipe was founded on October 18, 1925 by Pope Pius XI. established with the papal bull Apostolicis muneris ratio from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Santiago de Chile and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On April 30, 1960, the Diocese of San Felipe gave parts of its territory to the establishment of the Territorial Prelature Illapel .
