The Roman Catholic Diocese of Osorno ( lat. : Dioecesis Osornensis , span. : Diócesis de Osorno ) is in Chile located diocese of the Roman Catholic Church based in Osorno .

history

The Diocese of Osorno was on November 15, 1955 by Pope Pius XII. erected with the papal bull Christianorum qui in diocesibus from cedings of territory of the dioceses of Puerto Montt and Valdivia . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Puerto Montt as a suffragan .
