The Territorial Prelature Infanta ( Latin : Praelatura Territorialis Infantensis ) is a Roman Catholic territorial prelature based in Infanta on the island of Luzon in the Philippines .
history
Pope Pius XII founded with the bull Precibus annuentes on April 25, 1950 the territorial prelature Infanta from territorial cession of the Diocese of Lipa and subordinated it to the Archdiocese of Manila as a suffragan . It covers the northern part of Quezon Province .
On January 31, 1970 it lost part of its territory to the diocese of Ilagan . It became part of the ecclesiastical province of Lipa on June 20, 1972 .
