The diocese of Ilagan ( Latin : Dioecesis Ilaganensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese located in the middle of the island of Luzon in the Philippines , with its seat in Ilagan . It includes the province of Isabela .
history
Pope Paul VI founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Quia urget Christi on January 31, 1970 from cessions of territory of the diocese of Tuguegarao and the territorial prelature of Infanta and it was subordinated to the archdiocese of Nueva Segovia as a suffragan diocese.
On September 21, 1974, it became part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao.
