David William Valencia Antonio (born December 29, 1963 in Nagtupacan , Philippines ) is a Filipino Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop of Ilagan .

Life

David William Valencia Antonio was ordained a priest on October 24, 1980 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 15, 2011 titular bishop of Basti and auxiliary bishop in Nueva Segovia . The Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines , Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto , donated him episcopal ordination on August 26 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Ernesto Antolin Salgado , Archbishop of Nueva Segovia, and Orlando Beltran Quevedo OMI , Archbishop of Cotabato .

Pope Francis appointed him on November 21, 2015 in addition to the Apostolic Administrator sede plena of the Apostolic Vicariate of San Jose in Mindoro . With the resignation of Vicar Apostolic Antonio Pepito Palang SVD on March 17, 2018, he became Administrator sede vacante .

On November 14, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Ilagan . He will retain the office of administrator of San Jose, Mindoro until a successor is appointed. The inauguration took place on February 12, 2019.
