Miguel Gatan Purugganan

Miguel Gatan Purugganan (born November 18, 1931 in Cabagan ; † July 7, 2011 ) was a Filipino clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Ilagan .

Life

Miguel Gatan Purugganan was ordained a priest on March 3, 1957 . Pope Paul VI appointed him on January 23, 1971 titular bishop of Egnatia and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Nueva Segovia . The Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines , Carmine Rocco , donated him episcopal ordination on April 22nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Juan C. Sison , Archbishop of Nueva Segovia , and Teodulfo Sabugal Domingo , Bishop of Tuguegarao .

On January 21, 1974, he was appointed Bishop of Ilagan . On July 26, 1999, John Paul II accepted his resignation.
