Carmine Rocco
Carmine Rocco (born April 12, 1912 in Camigliano , Caserta Province , Italy ; † May 12, 1982 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and Vatican diplomat .
Life
Carmine Rocco was ordained a priest on July 26, 1936 and was incardinated in the diocese of Calvi e Teano .
Pope John XXIII appointed him on October 5, 1961 titular Archbishop of Iustinianopolis in Galatia and appointed him apostolic nuncio in Bolivia . He was ordained bishop on November 12, 1961 by Cardinal Secretary of State Amleto Giovanni Cicognani ; Co- consecrators were Archbishop Angelo Dell'Acqua and the Bishop of Calvi e Teano, Matteo Guido Sperandeo .
From 1962 to 1965, Rocco was the Council Father of all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
In 1967, Pope Paul VI was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines . and in 1973 the appointment as Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil by Pope John Paul II.
Carmine Rocco died in office on May 12, 1982.
