The Diocese of Tarlac ( lat. : Dioecesis Tarlacensis ) is on the island of Luzon in the Philippines located Roman Catholic diocese based in Tarlac City . It includes the province of Tarlac .

history

Pope John XXIII founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Clarissimae famae on February 16, 1963 from cessions of territory of the dioceses Lingayen-Dagupan and San Fernando and it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Manila as a suffragan diocese.

On March 17, 1975 it became part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of San Fernando. An earthquake and then the first eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1990 and 1991 has confronted the diocese with two major natural disasters.
