Enrique V. Macaraeg

Enrique de Vera Macaraeg (born December 28, 1955 in Manila , Philippines ) is a Filipino clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Tarlac .

Life

Enrique V. Macaraeg received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan on May 19, 1979 .

In addition to various activities in pastoral care and as a school director, he was active in the training of priests. From 1988 to 1995 he was professor and dean of studies at the Philosophical Seminary in Dagupan City . Since 1998 he has been chairman of the archbishop's clergy commission and since 2005 pastor of the parish of St. Ildephons in Malasiqui .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Tarlac on March 31, 2016. He was ordained episcopate on May 24th of the same year by the Archbishop of Lingayen-Dagupan, Socrates Buenaventura Villegas . Co- consecrators were his predecessor Florentino Ferrer Cinense and the Bishop of San Fernando de La Union , Rodolfo Fontiveros Beltran . The inauguration in the Diocese of Tarlac took place on May 31, 2016.
