Florentino Ferrer Cinense

Florentino Ferrer Cinense (born March 14, 1938 in Guimba ) is a Filipino clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Tarlac .

Life

Florentino Ferrer Cinense was ordained a priest on December 21, 1963 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on May 24, 1984 as the first bishop of the newly established diocese of San Jose .

The Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines, Archbishop Bruno Torpigliani , donated him episcopal ordination on July 14 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Federico G. Limon SVD , Archbishop of Lingayen-Dagupan , and Ciceron Santa Maria Tumbocon , Bishop of Cabanatuan .

On August 17, 1985 he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Tarlac . With the resignation of Jesus J. Sison on January 21, 1988, he succeeded him as Bishop of Tarlac.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on March 31, 2016.
