Infanta is a Philippine municipality in the province of Quezon , in the Administrative Region IV, Calabarzon. It has 69,079 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 36 barangays . It is classified as the first income class community in the Philippines.

Infanta is on the Strait of Polillo, at the entrance to Lamon Bay , facing the Polillo Archipelago . Small mangrove forests lie on the coast . Their neighboring parishes are Real in the southwest and General Nakar in the northwest. The topography of the municipality is characterized by gently rolling and mountainous landscapes of the foothills of the Sierra Madre . The city was founded in 1696 by Don Diego Mangilaya and is the seat of a territorial prelature of the Roman Catholic Church .
