Lopez is a Filipino township in Quezon Province , Administrative Region IV, Calabarzon. It has 95,167 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 94 barangays . It is classified as the first income class community in the Philippines.

Lopez is located in the south of the Bay of Lamon , on the coast of which there are small mangrove forests . Their neighboring communities are Catanauan and General Luna in the south, Macalelon in the southwest, Calauag in the northeast, Gumaca in the west, Buenavista and Guinayangan in the east. The Maharlika Highway connects the municipality with the provincial capital Lucena City . The topography of the city is characterized by flat , hilly and mountainous landscapes. The Lopez Watershed Forest Reserve is on the territory of the municipality .

Lopez is connected to the Bicol region and the metropolitan metropolitan area of ​​Metro Manila by the Maharlika Highway and railroad . The daily rail service is operated by the Philippine National Railways .
