Sariaya (officially: Municipality of Sariaya ; Filipino : Bayan ng Sariaya ) is a Filipino municipality in the province of Quezon .
Sariaya is located between the Banahaw volcano and Tayabas Bay . The Sadyaya , Lagnas , Mamala and Gibanga rivers flow through the area of the municipality .
The place was founded on October 4, 1599.
The Agawan Festival takes place annually on May 15th .
Sariaya is home to two public high schools, Lutucan National High School and Canda National High School, as well as a private school, the Sariaya Institute and two denominational schools, St. Joseph's Academy and St. Francis High School.
