Pagbilao is a Filipino municipality in the province of Quezon , in the administrative region IV, Calabarzon. It has 75,023 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 27 barangays . It is classified as the first income class community in the Philippines.
The municipality of Pagbilao encloses the coast of the Bay of Pagbilao and is located in the north of the Bay of Tayabas . There are extensive mangrove forests in the bay . The largest river in the parish is the Palsabangon River. Their neighboring communities are Atimonan in the northeast, Padre Burgos in the southeast, Lucena City in the west and Tayabas City in the northeast. The topography of the city is characterized by flat , hilly and mountainous landscapes. Portions of Quezon National Park and the Binahaan River Watershed Forest Reserve are within the community's territory.
Pagbilao is connected to the Bicol region and the metropolitan metropolitan area of Metro Manila by the Maharlika Highway and by rail . The daily rail service is operated by Philippine National Railways and the stop is in Barangay Malicboy.
