The Tayabas Bay is a weitausladende bay in the south of the island of Luzon in the Philippines .
It is a sea bulge in the north of the Sibuyan Sea and extends from San Juan to the Bondoc Peninsula . The coastline of the Bay of Tayabas is determined by a mixture of mangrove forests , sandy beaches and extensive marshes that dry out at low tide . The mean tidal range ranges from 0.91 to 1.46 meters. In front of the coastline are numerous coral reefs . Numerous aquacultures that breed a wide range of marine fauna have been established in the places along the coast in recent decades .
The climate in the area of the Bay of Tayabas is tropical, humid and warm without a pronounced dry season. Due to its location, the bay is regularly hit by severe cyclones during the typhoon season . The intensity of precipitation increases from June and reaches its greatest intensity in October. The annual average of approx. 3,147 mm / m² of rain falls in the area of the bay. The average annual temperature is 27.2 ° C, with May being the warmest month at 28.9 ° C and January being the coolest month at 25.4 ° C.
The most important port is in Lucena City , there are ferry connections to the islands of Marinduque , Masbate , Palawan and Romblon .
