The Bondoc Peninsula is located in the southeast of the island of Luzon in the Philippines . It covers an area of 2222.54 km² in the Quezon province and protrudes far into the Sibuyan Sea , separating the Bay of Tayabas from the Gulf of Ragay . West of the peninsula is the island of Marinduque , separated from it by the Mompog Passage .
The region of the Bondoc Peninsula has 355,158 inhabitants living in 12 municipalities live. These are: Agdangan , Catanauan , San Andes , Buenavista , General Luna , Macalelon , Mulanay , Padre Burgos , Unisan , San Francisco , San Narciso , Pitogo . The region is described as relatively poor, and several land reform projects have not yet been fully implemented. The topography of the peninsula is described as a flat, hilly landscape. To the east of the peninsula is the island of Alibijaban and on the peninsula the nature reserves Buenavista Protected Landscape and Mulanay Watershed Forest Reserve .
