The Mulanay Watershed Forest Reserve is located on the island of Luzon , Philippines . It was established on July 21, 1938 on an area of 474 hectares in the province of Quezon in the municipal area of San Francisco , as Watershed Forest Reserve, and is an initial part of NIPAS Act 7586.
The reserve is located approximately 282 km southeast of Manila and approximately three kilometers from the community center of San Francisco, in the southern region of the Bondoc Peninsula . It includes smaller rainforests in Quezon Province . The nature reserve is located in a hilly area and in the flat hilly area reaches a maximum height of 147 meters above sea level. The climate in the area is tropical and humid without a pronounced dry period, the driest months are from November to April. The area is drained by the Cawayan creek, which flows into Tayabas Bay .
The reserve is home to a wide range of the flora and fauna of the Philippines.
