The Lopez Watershed Forest Reserve is located on the island of Luzon , Philippines . It was established on June 22, 1940 on an area of 418 hectares in Quezon Province in the municipalities of Lopez , Calauag and Guinayangan and is an initial part of NIPAS Act 7586.
The nature reserve is located approx. 254 km southeast of Manila , it includes larger rainforest stocks in the Quezon province . The nature reserve is located in a hilly area and has an elevation profile of 200 to 400 meters above sea level. The climate in the area is tropical and humid without a pronounced dry period.
The nature reserve is home to a wide range of flora and fauna in the Philippines; smaller portions of the area are used as agroforestry areas by the local population.
