The Buenavista Protected Landscape is located on the island of Luzon , Philippines . It was established on April 23, 2000 in an area of 284 hectares in Quezon Province in the parish of Mulanay , Barangay Buenavista, and was established under the guidelines of NIPAS Law 7586 by Instruction 294.
The reserve is located about 170 km southeast of Manila , about three kilometers north of the community center of Mulanay and it includes larger rainforest areas in Quezon Province . The nature reserve covers an elevation profile of up to 300 meters on the Bondoc Peninsula .
The reserve is home to a wide range of the flora and fauna of the Philippines. From the flora , stocks of myrobalans ( Terminalia Microcarpa ) are known. Various species of mammals , reptiles , amphibians and insects are known from the fauna , such as the Tariktik hornbill , the black monitor monitor ( Varanus salvator ) and various wild ducks .
