Agdangan is a Filipino township in Quezon Province , Administrative Region IV, Calabarzon. It has 12,851 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 12 barangays . It is classified as the fifth income class community in the Philippines.
Agdangan is located in the northeast of the Bay of Tayabas , on the coast of which there are smaller mangrove forests . Its neighboring communities are Atimonan in the north, Unisan in the southeast, and Padre Burgos in the northwest. The topography of the city is characterized by flat , hilly and mountainous landscapes.
Agdangan is connected to the Bicol region and the metropolitan metropolitan area of Metro Manila by the Maharlika Highway and by rail . The daily rail service is operated by the Philippine National Railways .
