Unisan is a Filipino municipality in Quezon Province , Administrative Region IV, Calabarzon. It has 26,884 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 36 barangays . It is classified as the fourth income class community in the Philippines.
Unisan is located in the northeast of Tayabas Bay , on the Bondoc Peninsula . There are smaller mangrove forests on its coast . Their neighboring communities are Atimonan in the north, Pitogo in the southeast, and Gumaca in the east. The topography of the city is characterized by flat , hilly and mountainous landscapes.
There is a campus of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in the community .
