Lucban is a Filipino municipality in Quezon Province , Administrative Region IV, Calabarzon. It has 51,475 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 32 barangays . It is classified as a second income class community in the Philippines.
Lucban's community center is at the foot of Mount Banahaw . The Mounts-Banahaw-San-Cristobal National Park , in which larger rainforests are located, is located on parts of the municipality . Its neighboring communities are Tayabas City in the south, Sampaloc and Mauban in the east and in the north it borders on the province of Laguna .
