Barbara Gysel

Barbara Gysel (born March 6, 1977 , resident in Zug ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

education and profession

Barbara Gysel holds an Executive Master of Arts Management. In her second degree, she trained as a political scientist at the University of Zurich and did a doctorate in management.

She is a member of the management team at Child Protection Switzerland (Head of Programs ). She headed a federal program at the Federal Bureau for Equality between Women and Men . She was in charge of a research project at the University of Education in Zug and the Free University of Berlin . She issued technical expertise for the Migros Culture Percentage .

  • President of WWF Zug, she has been an active member of the WWF Presidium since she was a teenager
  • Board member SAH Central Switzerland (since 2009)
  • Board member Asylbrücke Zug (since 2006)

  • Board member IG Kultur Zug (since 2019)
  • Member of the forum of the women's headquarters in Zug (2009–2011)
  • Member of the cantonal arbitration authority for labor law (for disputes under the Equal Opportunities Act, 2011–2012)
  • Member of the cantonal integration commission (2007-2018)
  • President of the Trade Union Confederation of Canton Zug (2007–2011)
  • Board member Benevol Zug (2007-2013)

politics

Barbara Gysel has been a member of the Cantonal Council since 2008 and of the Grand Municipal Council of Zug since 2014 . Since 2008 she has been the President of the SP Canton Zug.
