The Zuger week is a civic regional Swiss Free - weekly from Baar in Switzerland. It has been published once a week since November 14, 1985, on Wednesdays in the eleven Zug municipalities of Baar, Cham , Hünenberg , Menzingen , Neuheim , Oberägeri , Risch , Steinhausen , Unterägeri , Walchwil and Zug . It was founded on November 14, 1985 by Bruno Ehrat.
The Zuger Woche has a total circulation of 53,850 (previous year 53,707) copies and a reach of 50,000 (previous year 55,000) readers (WEMF MACH Basic 2018-II). It mainly reports on regional events in the canton of Zug and the neighboring cantons of Lucerne , Schwyz , Aargau and Zurich .

The Zuger Woche AG publishing house was taken over by BaZ Holding AG (today: Zeitungshaus AG) in August 2017, with retroactive effect from January 1, 2017, which until its takeover by Tamedia also owned the Basler Zeitung Medien with the Basler Zeitung , together with the Zehnder Regiomedia AG, Wil (now Swiss Regiomedia AG, Baar ZG ), which also belongs to the Zehnder family and publishes 24 other weekly newspapers throughout German-speaking Switzerland, including the Winterthurer Zeitung , St. Galler Nachrichten , Wiler Nachrichten , Luzerner Rundschau and the Aarauer Nachrichten .
