Barbara Iago

Barbara Jago (* 20th century in Liverpool , England ) is a British screenwriter and former dancer .

biography

Jago, who was born in Liverpool in the north-west of England, studied classical dance at the Liverpool Theater School. At the age of 15 she was on stage with the ballet dancer Margot Fonteyn . She later worked as a professional dancer in Tom Arnold's company. She worked as a stewardess at the age of 21, married at 24 and had a son and a stepdaughter. Before she turned her job exclusively to writing scripts, she also worked as a private detective.

Jago has been writing scripts for more than 25 years, mainly working for German productions. For the screenplay for Busenfreunde 2 - Everything will be fine , created together with Thomas Berger ! she was awarded the Bavarian Television Prize in 1999.

The author also gives lectures, for example at the London Screenwriters Festival in 2010, and Jago also runs an agency in Manchester.
